The Nursing College of Zhengzhou University, on the base of former Henan Medical University attached Nursing School, was established in 1931. After the established of New Zhengzhou University in July, 2000, the Nursing School of Henan Medical University belongs to New Zhengzhou University, and accordly renamed as the Nursing College of Zhengzhou University.

    The Nursing College of Zhengzhou University covers an area of 135,000 square meters with 51,000 square meters for building area. The complete equipment includes 28 laboratories, 2 foreign language audio-rooms, 3 computer classsrooms, 20 multi-media classrooms, 3 body training rooms. Advanced computer teaching equipments have formed the complete computerlised network within compus.

     Long history of nursing helps to cultivate abundant educiational professionals. There is 150 full-time and part-time teaching staff, and 51 percent of them have got the qualification of seinor professional title. New Zhengzhou University and its attached hospital, other provincial hospitals and some city-level hospitals of Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen etc. provide the Nursing College with high-quality lecturers, laboratory facilites and practice sits.

     Now New Zhengzhou University is granted as one of the key construction units of 211 Project Universities, which enrolls students across China. Currently available majors are as follows: Postgraudate degree: Nursing; College degree: Nursing, Medical beautifying; College degree: Nursing, Medical examining and Pharmacy.

     For many years, the faculty of the Nursing College of Zhengzhou University is loyal to the medical education carrer and rooted itself in central China and serving people with spirit of solidity, diligence, reality, innovation, proficient, virtue, civility, and progress, it targets to culitivate compensive talents of practical nursing professionals with solid sound professional theory foundations and abilities. It has topped many times in those competitions specilizing in basic knowledge, technical operation and ability, which are organized by the Henan Provincial Health Bureau and the Provincial Education Department.
